Report: New trends to drive global tourism growth in 2014

Tourism spending and arrivals in the global travel and tourism industry are projected to increase 4% on average amid improving economic conditions worldwide, the World Travel Market Global Trends Report 2013 shows. The report identified several trends that are expected to have a significant influence on the industry, such as the rise of the PANK -- or "professional aunts with no kids" -- segment, increased demand for multigenerational safari trips and the shift of concierge services toward the mobile platform.
