SEC audits in question in ex-Madoff employee trial

Prosecutors in the trial of five former employees of Bernard Madoff will cross-examine Securities and Exchange Commission witnesses, focusing on alleged mishandling. Some argue the line of questioning should not be permitted as the witnesses were not involved in the review of Madoff's accounts prior to his arrest. U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain will decide whether the cross-examination questions will be permitted.
