GSK plans R&D facility in Singapore

GlaxoSmithKline announced plans to build a research and development facility in Singapore to develop drug-production techniques and produce drugs for clinical trials. The plant, scheduled to be operational in the third quarter of 2007, will be built adjacent to an existing GSK facility and is designed to improve "opportunities for sharing scientific and operational resources," the company said.
