Environmentalists say Gulf Coast rebuilding threatens wetlands

Government officials and developers are not giving enough thought to preserving wetlands as they rebuild the Gulf Coast, some environmental groups say. Environmentalists charge the Army Corps of Engineers isn't enforcing federal wetlands protection rules, but developers say they need more flexibility to meet the strong demand for housing.
