Seattle school district mulls in-house bus service

The Seattle School Board is considering running its own school transportation system rather than contracting it out, as it has since the 1970s, and supporters say it would improve service to students, lower driver turnover and possibly save money in the long run. However, critics say given the district's financial status, now isn't the time to spend more to start the service from scratch.
