Student council voting goes high-tech at Virginia school

First- through fifth-graders at Arlington, Va.,'s Taylor Elementary School for the first time yesterday used electronic voting to select their student council representatives. School officials said the new format eliminated the confusing marks some younger voters tend to put on paper ballots and made the results easier to tabulate.
