HIV/AIDS crisis growing in Central America

The HIV/AIDS epidemic could reach an infection rate of 2% among Central American adults within three years, making the region the hardest-hit area in Latin America. Statistics from the United Nations reveal 1.7 million Central Americans have HIV, and 208,600 of them have AIDS.
