Research: N.Y. tri-state-area consumers favor Costco for food shopping

Warehouse-club shoppers in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut areas preferred shopping for food at Costco, a study by the Rondeel Research Group found. Consumers spend around $100 to $300 for food per visit, with an average of one to five visits a month, the study added. When asked about the changes they would like Costco to make, the respondents said they would like more food varieties, smaller quantities for smaller families and additional brand names.
