Cargo screening begins for single-aisle passenger planes

Airlines and the TSA have begun screening cargo shipped aboard single-aisle passenger aircraft, marking "a very significant step for security," according to a TSA spokesman. TSA is responsible for screening cargo at more than 370 small airports, while the airlines assume most screening duties at 80 larger airports, according to the Air Transport Association.
