Microsoft vying with Google for search deal with Verizon

Microsoft has reportedly been taking advantage of Google's run-ins with federal regulators over its scuttled search ad deal with Yahoo! to try to woo one of Google's search partners. The software giant has been negotiating a mobile search deal with Verizon Wireless, which already had been in talks with Google to be its sole search provider. Microsoft is said to be promising a bigger share of revenue to Verizon and guaranteed higher payments than Google.
