Reville: Economy will slow, not halt, Massachusetts education reform

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick's decade-long plan to reform education may progress more slowly than he expected thanks to the poor economy, but the state will stick to its goals, according to Secretary of Education Paul Reville. "The cost of doing the things called for in the Readiness Project will exceed the cost of not doing them," Reville said. "This is the civil-rights battle of our time."
