Survey finds interest in fare consolidators rising

The use of fare consolidators remains low, but corporate travel buyers say they are finding that their travelers are increasingly interested in the concept. Almost 63% of 120 corporate travel buyers surveyed by the Business Travel Coalition said travel spending could be reduced by using fare consolidators. "It's not unusual, for example, for a $10,000 fare, available via a corporate travel program, to be offered by a consolidator for $5,000," said BTC Chairman Kevin Mitchell.
