Banks return to making "jumbo" mortgages

Many lenders reined in or stopped making "jumbo" home loans when the credit crisis struck more than two years ago. Major banks continued to extend loans for more expensive properties, but regional lenders and smaller banks are now starting to issue more such mortgages, which could help spur home sales in some upmarket areas.
