NTT sets modest price increase for major LTE upgrade

Japan's NTT DoCoMo will begin offering 4G wireless service over its Long Term Evolution network on Dec. 24 at a price only slightly above what the carrier charges for 3G service. The network will carry data at speeds of up to 37 megabits-per-second downstream and 12.5 Mbps upstream for most users.
