Online tools offer help for Farm to School programs

An online Farm to School tool kit helps food-service staff and others in the food-distribution process get fresh farm produce to schools in Nebraska. Developed by the Gretchen Swanson Center for Nutrition in Omaha, the tool kit shows the seasons during which Nebraska products are available, as well as producers and their products, and offers a food-safety checklist. The center also plans to host a boot camp for food-service personnel.
