Oral tablet may replace insulin jabs in diabetes

Researchers at Curtin University in Australia have discovered a compound that could mimic the molecular map of insulin and are developing it as an oral tablet to replace the need for insulin injections in diabetes patients. Lead researcher Erik Helmerhorst presented the study at the Univation 2011 Conference in Perth.
