Conn. education officers approved by State Board of Education

The Connecticut Board of Education approved the appointment of two top staff members to the state's Department of Education on Wednesday. The appointments of a chief academic officer and chief turnaround officer are part of Education Commissioner Stefan Pryor's reorganization of the education department, which included creating six high-level positions. Three of the other positions were filled earlier this year and the sixth, the chief performance officer, remains unfilled.
