Frozen-food sales are expected to remain cold

According to Packaged Facts, dollar sales of frozen food have increased 7.7% since 2008, a compound annual growth rate of 1.9%. The rate is likely to hover around 2% during the next five years. Companies are fighting a consumer preference for fresh food, using restaurant-branded frozen meals and promoting the message that frozen food is as nutritious as fresh.
