N.J. historians put Sandy in historical, future context

Historians up and down the New Jersey shore agree that storm Sandy holds a unique place among the many weather events in the state's long history -- the worst. "We will be feeling the impact of Sandy even after the cleanup -- in altered traffic patterns, revised building codes and coastal lakes adjusting to the saltwater floods," said Kathy Heim, historian for Point Pleasant Beach.
