How smartphones help retailers reach customers

Shoppers use their smartphones more frequently the closer they get to making a purchasing decision, so retailers can use the location-based element of smartphones and tablets to present information at the opportune moment. About 33% of tablet users and 24% of smartphone users are most likely to click on an ad with local relevance, according to a Nielsen survey for xAd and Telmetrics.
