Israeli wine industry modernizes, expands exports

The Israeli wine industry has existed since biblical times, but recent modernization and expansion has improved the country's selection and exports to the U.S., although much of the wine ends up on the East and West coasts rather than in Midwest states. "They’re turning out a quality product; these wines have moved beyond Manischewitz," said David Weinstein, owner of Rye Deli in Minneapolis.
