The Michigan Public Service Commission and the Michigan Energy Office gave a final report to Gov. Rick Snyder regarding the state's current renewable portfolio standard and prospects beyond 2015. The report said wind power is a large part of the state's renewable energy, accounting for 94% of the 1.4 gigawatts that are either operational or in the development pipeline. The report finds that an RPS of 30% by 2035 would be achievable.
