Report slams $500B in subsidies for fossil fuels

Developed countries give fossil fuel companies seven times more financial support than to carbon emission-reduction efforts in the developing countries, according to a report from the Overseas Development Institute. "This is a reckless use of public money at a time when people are very concerned about energy costs," said Kevin Watkins, the institute's executive director.
