Study: Consumers are more positive about annuities than advisors suspect

A key finding of Genworth's study on retirement income is that consumers have more positive attitudes toward annuities than financial professionals believe. Ninety-one percent of annuity owners have a favorable or neutral opinion of them, the study found. Among consumers who don't own an annuity, 40% would consider buying one.
