Survey: 10.4% of public-safety workers face injuries

According to a Department of Labor survey measuring occupational injuries, public-safety workers are most likely to be injured. Although the overall job-injury rate has dropped, 10.4 in 100 employees at city police, fire and justice departments had nonfatal accidents or illnesses last year, up from 10.3 in 2011.
