Veterinarian brings Veterinarians Without Borders to East Africa

Veterinarian Stephen Major recently spent five weeks in Uganda to help start East Africa's first Veterinarians Without Borders site. Dr. Major, who practices in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, taught veterinary skills and information regarding zoonotic and animal diseases to a class of 26 people from local villages. "(The trip) gave me a great renewed faith in veterinary medicine as a profession," Dr. Major said.
