Materials shortages lead to unfinished construction

For more than a year, the construction industry has been dealing with steel shortages, making it hard for contractors to finish buildings and other construction projects, according to Ken Simonson, chief economist for the Associated General Contractors of America. The stage was set for the shortage when China began buying massive amounts of steel scrap a few years ago.
