The pre-election sex scandal involving Colorado-based evangelical leader the Rev. Ted Haggard may have brought more religious conservatives to the polls to oppose two marriage-rights ballot questions, despite Democrats winning the governor's race for the first time in eight years. Voters approved a marriage ban and defeated a referendum that would have provided some domestic partner rights.
