Buffett targets rails, windmills for green investments

Berkshire Hathaway's plan to buy Burlington Northern Santa Fe is just one example of Warren Buffett's interest in sustainability. Berkshire's purchase is based partly on the premise that railroads are a more efficient way to move goods as fuel prices climb. Buffett has also invested in MidAmerican Energy Holdings, which builds windmills that generate enough electricity to power more than 50,000 homes.
