Experts say not to overreact to data on PPI health risks

Recent study data have indicated that acid reducing medications called proton pump inhibitors may lead to other serious health problems, but physicians urge patients not to overreact. Gastroenterologist Dr. David Johnson said the studies so far don't "clearly implicate" PPIs and fail to weigh the benefits of treatment against any potential risk.
