S.C. seeks public input on amendments to special-education law

South Carolina education officials are holding four regional hearings to seek public input on proposed amendments to state special-education laws. The amendments are aimed at aligning state requirements with recent revisions to the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act that affect parental consent for special-education services, state monitoring and allocation of funds, among other areas.
