Consumer interest in generators is on the rise

More homeowners now express interest in portable and whole-house generators after an increase in the number of power outages and the memories of days without power due to snowstorms in the East return. The cost of generators has come down, but many still opt for portable units that range between $500 and $3,000 rather than the more powerful generators that can power much of the house that cost between $7,000 and $10,000.
