Daily Economic Indicator: Economy added jobs in October

The economy added more than 150,000 jobs last month, the first increase in months and better than the gain expected by economists. The situation is bolstering hopes that the labor market could have reached a turning point. Companies bolstered their staffs by 159,000 jobs, while the government cut 8,000 workers in October. President Barack Obama lauded the figures, but emphasized that more work needs to be done.
