Lenders ease standards, Fed's quarterly survey finds

A quarterly survey by the Federal Reserve found that banks have continued to ease their lending standards and terms on some commercial and consumer loans. Lenders loosened standards on credit card loans and became more willing to extend installment loans to consumers over the past three months, according to the survey. Meanwhile, mortgage demand continued to be weak and demand for business loans dropped.
