Value-added evaluation method considered for Houston teachers

Houston teachers are likely to undergo a new evaluation process next school year, according to officials who are reviewing the way teachers are graded. The new system is expected to include a focus on student performance -- the definition of which is still being debated. The school board has endorsed the value-added method, but the district's teachers union calls that a "deal breaker."
