Attorney: More property owners might sue over TVA coal ash spill

Hundreds of additional property owners could join the plaintiffs suing the Tennessee Valley Authority for damages related to a December 2008 coal ash spill near Knoxville, Tenn., an attorney for the plaintiffs said. The lawsuits must be filed within three years of the incident. Damage payouts hinge on the ruling of a U.S. district judge following a bench trial that concluded last month.
