Expert panel recommends skin cancer counseling for youths

Doctors should advise children and young adults ages 10 to 24, especially those with fair skin, about sun protection in order to prevent skin cancer, according to a draft proposal released by the Preventive Services Task Force on Tuesday. The panel said that there is sufficient evidence that counseling youths will make them think twice about sunbathing and indoor tanning.
