Low-fat, low-carb diets may not lead to sustained weight loss

A meta-analysis presented at the World Congress on Insulin Resistance, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular Disease meeting revealed that patients on low-fat or low-carbohydrate diets may not attain significant long-term weight loss. The analysis also found poor adherence and high attrition rates with the diets.
