More local ads could be in high definition, study finds

More than half of cable and broadcast outlets are able to run HD ads, but 12% of all regional ads and 20% of national ads are in HD, according to a report by Extreme Reach. The report found that local agencies and advertisers are less likely to run their ads in HD than their national counterparts. "Most regional TV advertisers are likely aware of the advantages of advertising in HD, but they may not be apprised of the favorable market conditions and recent advancements that make HD campaigns more cost-effective and as easy to execute as SD," said Extreme Reach CEO John Roland.
