Statins may reduce heart, vascular risk in diabetes, study finds

Statin therapy may help curb the risk of major vascular events in diabetes patients, an analysis in The Lancet found. Reductions in low-density lipoprotein levels were associated with reductions in all-cause mortality, major vascular events and vascular death in diabetes patients, regardless of their history of vascular disease.
