Wendy's tweaks value menu to get franchisees on board

Wendy's premium sandwiches are performing well, but the chain is losing share when it comes to the value menu, said CEO Emil Brolick, largely because there's an inconsistency between company operated restaurants and franchises. The company is reworking the value menu in a push to boost compliance and expects to soon launch a new version with six 99-cent items and several more with slightly higher price points.
