Toronto-based retail chain Canadian Tire started selling 10,000 items on its website this week as part of pilot project in advance of its planned rollout of its e-commerce site in about a year, the company said. Customers can place orders online and pick up their purchases at one of 30 Canadian Tire stores; once the service is fully implemented, some stores may offer home delivery of online orders, said CEO Stephen Wetmore.
