McKesson Foundation offers grant to design self-care app for cancer patients

Partners HealthCare's Center for Connected Health has received a grant from the McKesson Foundation's Mobilizing for Health program to launch and test a mobile tool for people who are taking oral chemotherapy for cancer. The application, which will be used in a three-month study of 104 patients at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, is expected to help patients manage their care by giving them information related to medication adherence and cancer symptoms.
