Staggered placing of offshore turbines yield higher results, say scientists

Scientists from the University of Delaware discovered that staggered placing of the turbines instead of neat rows will produce up to 33% more energy from offshore wind farms. The group of researchers, led by Cristina Archer, worked with a real offshore wind farm in Sweden before making computer-generated simulations of the turbines to record combinations with the best results.
