The leaders of Energy Aware Technology put considerable effort into making sure they would be successful in raising $95,000 through a Kickstarter campaign to launch their product, which helps homeowners reduce their energy costs. "We researched extensively to find niche bloggers, inform them of the campaign and share our brand story ahead of putting out an official press release to major media outlets," CEO Janice Cheam said. There are a few days left in the campaign, but the company has already brought in more than $170,000.
