Studies analyze HCV testing, treatment rates

An analysis of data from the Department of Veterans Affairs' Hepatitis C clinical registry showed many older patients are not receiving treatment after being diagnosed with hepatitis C. Data from two other studies found HCV screening for baby boomers seen in hospital emergency departments or who received health care from the VA led to triple the prevalence of HCV, when compared with overall screening for this demographic.
