White House reportedly eyes Treasury official to head CFTC

President Barack Obama plans to nominate Timothy Massad, a Treasury Department official, to be the next chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, a source says. If nominated and confirmed by Congress, Massad, best known for involvement with the Troubled Asset Relief Program, will replace Gary Gensler, whose term expires in January.
