Comcast to roll out Microsoft set-top box in Washington state

Starting next week, roughly a half a million Seattle-area customers of Comcast will begin using Microsoft set-top box software, accessing Microsoft's on-screen program guide and related features instead of the TV Guide Interactive system they use now. For an extra fee, Comcast will lease a set-top box with video-recording features, turning the cable box into a TiVo-like system.
