Public works projects may help revive economy, experts say

Some experts say a boost in spending on infrastructure could help revive the U.S. economy. Work on bridges, roads and other public works projects is often considered too slow to create any real economic stimulus. However, observers now say that the economic crisis is so deep that slower projects will provide lasting positive effects. Democrats are expected to propose a stimulus project that includes infrastructure projects later this month.
