Group says "hangar homes" aid airport security

A group called is challenging the FAA's position discouraging airports from allowing nearby homeowners to taxi their planes on and off airport property. The group says through-the-fence operators may help boost airport security, and it challenges the FAA's assumptions about noise control. FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt says his agency is seeking input from aviation stakeholder groups regarding the through-the-fence policy.
